Contact management
Flexmail allows two approaches to organize your contacts:
- Your mailing list is a static list of contacts.
- Your mailing list consists of a main list, with several dynamic sublists attached.

When using only static mailing lists, you will import the contact details of a specific target group into a specific list yourself. This means you will be responsible for segmentation of target groups. The use of dynamic sublists allows importing all contacts into one large main list. Segmentation for specific target groups is achieved through selection based on one or more criteria. What is saved as a dynamic sublist, is the actual definition of these criteria. A number of dynamic sublists can be linked to one single, main list. This allows for easier maintenance of contact details, confined to the main list.
All new contacts added to the main mailing list will automatically show up in the correct sublists.

Import e-mail addresses in 5 different ways
Flexmail has developed a unique copy-and-paste tool to import your e-mail addresses into your mailing lists in a user-friendly way. You can also import Microsoft Excel, CSV and XML files. Using Microsoft Excel or CSV data allows you to match columns in your data with fields from the Flexmail database. Define this mapping only once and save it as a profile for future imports. A completely customized automation of import from within your own applications can be achieved through the use of the Flexmail API.

Automated unsubscribe- and update-functions

The update function will grant contacts the possibility to modify their data, from within an e-mail message.

Registrations through your own web site with 'opt-in' e-mail
Flexmail offers a HTML snippet allowing you to embed a registration form on your web site. Registrations are automatically linked to a mailing list inside Flexmail. Avoid abuse through the use of a standard opt-in e-mail message or create your own message.

Blacklists
Add individual e-mail addresses or domains to your blacklist. Flexmail will make sure no more messages are sent to this contact or addresses belonging to that domain. Manage a 'blacklist' for each individual mailing list and a general 'blacklist' for the entire contact database. The results from unsubscribe-links can be added to the blacklist automatically.
